President and CEO, Midwestern Regional Medical Center
Scott Jones is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) at Midwestern Regional Medical Center. In this role, he leads a team of medical experts, clinicians and physicians to help meet the individual needs of cancer patients facing advanced and complex cancer. Mr. Jones’ commitment to patient-centered care is witnessed daily by the patients and family members who travel to CTCA at Midwestern Regional Medical Center from around the country.
Prior to this position, Mr. Jones served CTCA at Midwestern as the Senior Vice President of Operations (2007 to 2009) and Chief Operating Officer from 2009 to 2012. Through his leadership, CTCA at Midwestern has achieved 30 percent and greater improvements in capacity and continued decreased turnaround times, all the while sustaining and improving patient satisfaction and loyalty.
Under Mr. Jones’ leadership, CTCA at Midwestern expanded its surgical services, clinic and stem cell outpatient unit. He led the expansion of the radiation department and infusion center to meet the needs of our patients and their caregivers to enable CTCA at Midwestern to deliver a fully integrative care model all under one roof. To meet the needs of comfort and convenience for our patients, Mr. Jones led the development of the beautiful, 99-room Guest Quarters North. With a deep respect and personal understanding of the impact of a cancer diagnosis on a patient’s spirit, he also led the expansion of the CTCA non-denominational chapel.
Mr. Jones is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Prior to joining CTCA, Mr. Jones was at the University Health Systems of Eastern Carolina (now Vidant Health), where he served as Vice President, Cancer and Clinical Services and as Executive Director, East Carolina Heart Institute. He holds a Master of Hospital and Healthcare Administration degree from Xavier University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Finance from Bowling Green State University.
Mr. Jones is an active member of the community. He serves as member of the Zion Kiwanis Club and a board member of the United Way of Lake County.
