patients family embrace

Once you arrive at one of our CTCA hospitals, we want you to relax and focus on healing. To achieve this goal, we used actual patient feedback to construct our hospitals - from the landscaping, architecture, and interior design, to the amenities. Each of our facilities was designed with the same high standards to create a welcoming, nurturing environment.

When you become a patient at CTCA, you will receive a Healing and Hope Guide (our new patient handbook), which details important information and resources available during your care. You can use this handbook to organize and store information so that you don’t have to feel overwhelmed trying to remember everything by yourself. We also provide patient health wallet cards, where you can record important medical information (including emergency contacts, pharmacy phone numbers, list of allergies, list of medications and dosage, health history information, etc.).

Upon your initial visit, you will have a care manager assigned to you. Our care managers are registered nurses who guide you through your entire continuum of care. You will also have access to a team of cancer experts assigned specifically to you, who will deliver all dimensions of your care under one roof. Since our physicians and other clinicians are all housed in one facility, they are able to communicate regularly with each other to discuss your care. Our oncologists, surgeons and radiation oncologists work together with nutritionists, naturopaths, pain management physicians, mind-body medicine therapists, spiritual counselors, and physical and occupational therapists to understand your individual needs.

Furthermore, since we deliver all your care under one roof, the CTCA process is seamless and efficient. We understand how important it is for you to get prompt test results. Depending on the test, the average time it takes to get results is usually about 48 hours. MRI results usually arrive within six hours. This speeds up the process so that our physicians can analyze the results and develop an appropriate course of action as quickly as possible. Generally, it only takes a matter of days from your arrival at CTCA until you have a comprehensive treatment plan, tailored to your needs, in place.
